How the trial works
- Download Live Overlay Free with your free account.
- In the subtitle bar, choose Translate, press Activate in browser and confirm the code.
- Pro runs for 7 days. Then Live Overlay keeps working as Free, unless you buy Pro.
The 7 days start when you first activate, not when you download. One trial per account and per computer. No payment details.
Live Overlay is its own app, with its own installer and its own licence. Video Player Pro does not include it; the Bundle includes both apps for US$49.99 per year.
Will it run on my PC?
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
- An NVIDIA graphics card is recommended. Without one, it runs on the processor, which is not recommended for live subtitles.
- Any Windows audio device: speakers, headphones, Bluetooth or USB audio.
- An internet connection once, to download the language models. It also connects to activate and refresh your licence.
- The app's menus are in English. Subtitles in 30+ languages.

- An NVIDIA GeForce graphics card (GTX 10, RTX 20, 30 or 40 series) is recommended. PlaySubtitle runs its AI models on NVIDIA graphics cards.
- On AMD and Intel graphics, or on a PC without a supported NVIDIA card, PlaySubtitle runs on the processor instead. It works, but subtitles arrive noticeably later.
- An internet connection is needed once, to download the AI models during setup.

How does the 7-day trial work?
In Live Overlay, choose Translate and confirm with your free account. Pro runs for 7 days with no payment details, then Live Overlay keeps working as Free. The 7 days start when you first activate.
Is it a dictation or call-recording tool?
No. It shows subtitles for the sound your PC plays. You can also choose a microphone as the sound source; the sound is recognised on your PC and not uploaded.
Are the subtitles always right?
No. They are made by machine translation and can be wrong, so do not rely on them where accuracy matters.
