  • An NVIDIA GeForce graphics card (GTX 10, RTX 20, 30 or 40 series) is recommended. PlaySubtitle runs its AI models on NVIDIA graphics cards.
  • On AMD and Intel graphics, or on a PC without a supported NVIDIA card, PlaySubtitle runs on the processor instead. It works, but subtitles arrive noticeably later.
  • An internet connection is needed once, to download the AI models during setup.

Two ways to get it.

  • Website installer

Free account: your e-mail and a one-time code. Windows shows a warning the first time you run the installer, because it is not code-signed yet.

Questions

Can I use it with video sites?

Yes. Web Mode is a built-in browser. Videos with captions are translated in Free; Pro also makes subtitles for web videos that have none.

Does Free expire?

No. Free never expires and asks for no payment details. It needs a free account: your e-mail and a one-time code.

Are the subtitles always right?

No. They are made by machine translation and can be wrong, so do not rely on them where accuracy matters.
